The Birth
Begun in 2006, The Birth has been an under-the-radar fixture of the Charlotte holiday theater season since its inception. Featuring an eclectic mix of song, dance, and performance, it's a show that defies easy explanation and provokes deep reflection. Born of the words of the late Frederick Buechner, The Birth seeks to share the Christmas nativity story in a way that celebrates both the somberness and the exultance of the season.
Alejandro Ziegler Tango Piano Concert & Milonga
Alejandro Ziegler, Buenos Aires–born pianist and composer, founded the internationally touring Alejandro Ziegler Tango Quartet, completing over 300 concerts across Europe and North America and releasing multiple recordings. In 2024 he received a grant from the Arts & Science Council of North Carolina to record 10 solo-piano tangos, and in 2025 he was awarded the Creative Renewal Fellowship for his project exploring connections between Argentine tango and American roots music. These projects launched his first solo piano tour, which took him through the Midwest and the West Coast and will conclude at The Long Room in Charlotte, where he will give the final performance before recording his original danceable compositions.

Sultry Slink is a floor focused class aimed towards encouraging self-confidence, celebrating bodily autonomy, and facilitating a deeper, loving relationship with the body.
Class includes a warm-up that conditions, stretches, and includes full body movements that allow dancers to explore their innate sensuality. Each week dancers will learn choreography to use as a vessel for exploring their own sensuality, artistry and expression.
Let Sultry Slink help get you out of your head and into your body! Movement is a feast for the senses. This class invites you to nourish your body and feel sexy + empowered while doing it!
This class is perfect for intermediate/advanced dancers who want to connect with their bodies, expand their range of motion, and increase their hip mobility + spinal articulation. Knee pads, layers, and socks are recommended! Heels/stilettos are welcomed!
