Alejandro Ziegler, Buenos Aires–born pianist and composer, founded the internationally touring Alejandro Ziegler Tango Quartet, completing over 300 concerts across Europe and North America and releasing multiple recordings. In 2024 he received a grant from the Arts & Science Council of North Carolina to record 10 solo-piano tangos, and in 2025 he was awarded the Creative Renewal Fellowship for his project exploring connections between Argentine tango and American roots music. These projects launched his first solo piano tour, which took him through the Midwest and the West Coast and will conclude at The Long Room in Charlotte, where he will give the final performance before recording his original danceable compositions.
